As Kelowna real estate agents, we spend quite a bit of time on the road, so we thought we’d share three great Kelowna road trips.
The Okanagan Valley offers some lovely opportunities for road trips…

The Okanagan Valley is such a beautiful region. As you might imagine, this makes it a great place to take a road trip (or three). As Kelowna real estate agents, we spend quite a bit of time on the road, so we thought we’d share three great Kelowna road trips.

All of these drives are within a couple of hours of Kelowna, and whether you’re a local or a visitor, we’re sure you’ll get plenty of joy out of the road trips listed below.

    Peachland

Roughly 30 minutes south of Kelowna along the shores of Okanagan Lake, you’ll find historic Peachland. Peachland has a lovely ‘front’ along Okanagan Lake, so you can park up, grab a coffee and take a stroll during any part of the year. As you look out across the lake towards Rattlesnake Island, keep your eyes peeled for the Ogopogo. Legend has it the lake monster lives on the island. There’s nothing monstrous about Peachland though, it’s a beautiful little Okanagan town and a great place to go for a quick spin.

    Enderby

Did you know that Enderby boasts North America’s largest drive-in movie screen? It’s true. Complete with retro commercials, the Starlight Drive-in is an Okanagan gem – a real blast from the past in the best way possible. Enderby itself is a cute little town that is worth a visit. In the summer, you can also float down the Shuswap River. Clocking in at around an hour and 10 minutes north of Kelowna, Enderby makes for a fun little trip.

    Osoyoos

A little further afield (and in the opposite direction) from Enderby you’ll find Osoyoos – a lovely little town that is located close to British Columbia’s border with Washington state. B.C.’s most southerly town, Osoyoos also sits in Canada’s only desert. It’s also said to have Canada’s warmest freshwater lake. At about an hour and 40 minutes from Kelowna, Osoyoos is a delightful day trip. There are a number of eateries and wineries in the area too.

Enjoy! The fall is beautiful time of year for a Kelowna road trip.
