Six Kelowna eateries you need to visit ASAP

    Kelowna is blessed with an array of fantastic dining establishments. From fine dining to comfort food, there’s no shortage of places to grab a bite in Kelowna.

    Locals will tell you that the foodie scene (including an emphasis on farm to table dining) has been growing steadily in Kelowna over the last number of years, and the evidence is clear to see!

    Now there’s a wide range of eateries represented on this list – we hope there’s something for everyone – but there are many more great establishments in Kelowna too, these are just a few of our favourites!

    Without further ado, here are six Kelowna eateries that you need to visit ASAP…


    Fine dining restaurant in downtown Kelowna. The menu includes high-quality locally sourced Pacific Northwest dishes. Widely considered one of the best restaurants in the entire city.

    Putting modern twists on familiar favourites, Central is a genuine local hotspot. One of the places to be. Located at 1155 Ellis Street, the team at Central place an emphasis on quality food and awesome hospitality – you’ll usually find the owners (the ever-friendly Devon and Jared) serving in the restaurant.

    Open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., on Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Find Central online.

    Little Hobo Soup & Sandwich Shop

    A real local gem and an excellent place to grab lunch (check out their daily soup specials). The Little Hobo boasts comfortable food at comfortable prices, and the owners (Crystal and Steve) are super nice and will no doubt be the ones serving you! Comfort food at its finest.

    Summerhill Pyramid Winery’s Sunset Organic Bistro

    Sunset Organic Bistro is the restaurant at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. A very Okanagan experience – the restaurant offers vineyard views and a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. A fantastic place for a romantic dinner or a lunchtime business meeting, you’re sure to leave this restaurant feeling happy you visited.

    BNA Brewing Co.

    Situated at 1250 Ellis Street in a heritage building in downtown Kelowna’s Cultural District, BNA has been a revelation since it opened its doors in 2015. BNA serves craft beer (including their own brews made on-site) and awesome food. A very popular place to spend an evening.

    The Sandwich Co.

    The newest establishment on this list, The Sandwich Co. opened in the fall of 2016. Family owned and operated, they specialize in amazing deli-style sandwiches, soups and hot lunches. Lindsay and Adam Relvas are the owners of The Sandwich Co. and they are both extremely passionate about good food, they are also lovely people!

    Open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located 115-1632 Dickson Ave. (on the main floor of Landmark 3). They do not have a website (at the time of writing), but you can contact them at (250) 862-4837.
