    The Lower Mission area refers to the region bounded by KLO Road in the north to Barnaby Road in the south, and from Okanagan Lake in the west to Gordon Drive in the east. There are numerous amenities available in the sprawling area including cafes, restaurants, medical clinics and more, and downtown Kelowna is a short five minutes away.

    The most recent population data for the data is the 2006 census, which recorded a total of about 7700 residents living in the Mission. However, as time has passed that number has most certainly grown. The Lower Mission area is an excellent choice for those who have or are expecting children as there are three elementary schools, a middle school, two secondary schools and Okanagan College located within walking or cycling distance. Bus service is accessible throughout the area, with routes including the #1 Lakeshore, the #4 Pandosy / UBC-O Express, the #8 University and the #12 McCulloch passing through.
