For Some Modern Rock Go See Head of the Herd
On May 1st Vancouver’s own Head of the Herd will be in Kelowna performing at Doc Willoughby’s. They’re touring to support their second album. Their first album brought them plenty of success, including a #1 hit in Canada and an opening slot on the Guns N’ Roses tour. Come see what all the hype is about! Tickets are $10 advance or $15 at the door.
Luke Bryan Brings His “That’s My Kind Of Night Tour” to Town
Prospera Place will host Luke Bryan, one of country music’s darling boys, on May 4, 2014. Luke has been making quite the splash in country music, especially with his latest release “Crash My Party” which has spawned hit singles “Crash My Party,” “That’s My Kind of Night,” and “Drink a Beer.” Luke is known for putting on a very entertaining and high energy show, and for encouraging the crowd to get a little redneck rowdy! Also touring with Luke Bryan are special guests Cole Swindell and Lee Brice, known for his own hit single “Woman Like You.” If you want to experience country pop at its finest, grab a ticket. The show starts at 7:30PM and tickets are $75.25.
If You Like Rap, Check Out Hopsin
Hopsin is a DJ and rapper from Los Angeles, California, who will be in Kelowna on May 7 at Sapphire Nightclub. He’ll be performing for his headlining tour “The Knock Madness Tour” and will be supported by several opening DJs. Last time Hopsin played Kelowna, at Centre of Gravity 2013, his show was a big hit – so his return to the city is highly anticipated. Tickets are available at Sun City Vapors, One Boardshop, Bakery Boardshop and Sapphire Night Club.
Class It up with Tommy Emmanuel
Coming all the way from Australia, Tommy Emmanuel will bring a night of amazing guitar. This is the perfect show to attend if you’re looking for a bit of culture or intelligent musical compilations. His complex technique will have you mesmerized and his advanced progressions and creativity will surely inspire you. He is performing at the Rotary Centre for the Arts on May 16th at 8PM and tickets are $43.
